INSTRUCTION OF THE GRIPPERS AND ROPES

l    How it works

n          Using three balls to grip the rope simultaneously.

n          When the rope pulled up, the movable tip is moving up consequently. The balls will be pushed to the center by the conical hole, then clamp the rope.

n          When the rope went down, the movable tip is moving down, too. The balls release the rope as they left outward.

n          No tooling is necessary during operating.

n          The operation is repeatable.

 

l      How to use it

n             Insert the rope into the gripper and out of the exit hole for 2cm min. 

n Pull out the rope after inserted to make sure the balls can clamp it. After confirmed, string up the rope from the free end, move the object alone the rope to the position you wanted to.

n          Move the object to a new position-- hold and support the object first, then press and hold the movable tip, move the object to the new position, finally string up the rope before released the object.

n          Take out the object--hold and support the object first, press and hold the movable tip, then draw back the rope.

 

l          Using conditions

n          The gripper can support the static loading only. No valid for the dynamic loading, such as vibration, spinning, waving, or impact.

n          In-door using only, and avoid the moist, corrosive environment.

n          Please follow the table of max. loading to choose the right gripper and the ropes.

n          The working loading should be 1/3 or less than the max. loading.

 

l          Notification

n          The rope must be followed the national standard GB/T14451-93 for China, DIN EN 12385-4 for Europe, or the similar standards at different areas, galvanized steel cable 7x7, min break stress of 2000N/mm2 .

n          The ropes can’t be greasy, rusted, bent, pressed, loose, or some of the strands or wires were broken.

n          The data in the max. loading table is obtained by using the 7x7 galvanized steel ropes. Any other ropes, such as 1x19 galvanized steel or stainless steel ropes, maybe get a lower value.

n          When using the cable with cover, such as PVC or nylon sleeve, the capability of gripping might be decreased, even failed.

n          The end inserted into the gripper should be soldered or tin sealed. The strands can’t be spread.

n          Cannot use the gripper to hang up the humans and/or animals.

n       Cannot put the object’s weight on the rope and gripper suddenly. The loading should be added gradually. The user must let the rope and the gripper support the partial weight of the object first, then the rest on them.

n         The suspended object must be hanged securely. It cannot be spinning, or waving.

n          the rope should not be re-routed over 3° when passed thought the gripper.

n          Before using the grippers, the user must check them by one(s) of these actions, in case any mistakes or fail happened:

u        the movable tip can be pressed down and return back by spring inside smoothly and sensitively.

u        the 3 balls are at the center position by visual contact,

u        use the rope to test it,

n          the capability of clamping might be decreased on the used grippers. The user should check the capability of the max. loading again. If can’t sure or accept the new loading value, the used ones should be purged.

n          the gripper cannot be used again if it was failed to grip the rope or damage it under any cases, or over loading.

n          When the ropes or gripper was fixed on the ceiling or suspended object, the clamping capability should be over the gripper’s max. loading.
